Orange Support Worker Children Services

Ready to make an impact that lasts?

At Westhaven, we believe support is about more than just “care”—it’s about empowerment. We are looking for dedicated individuals in Orange to help children and young people with disabilities build the skills, confidence, and foundation they need for a brighter future.

  • Competitive Compensation: Earn between $36.22 – $39.53/hr, plus shift loadings and 12% Super.

  • Maximise Your Take-Home Pay: Access tax-free salary packaging up to $15,900/year, plus a $2,650 meal and entertainment card.

  • Grow Your Career: We prioritize internal promotion. If you have leadership ambitions, we provide clear pathways to Team Leader roles.

  • Inclusive Culture: Join a diverse team committed to social justice and a supportive work environment.

In this role, variety is the only constant. You aren’t just a worker; you’re a mentor and a guide. Your day-to-day will involve:

  • Supporting children in developing essential daily living skills.

  • Facilitating social outings and community engagement.

  • Maintaining accurate case notes and progress tracking.

We value passion, heart, and lived experience alongside the right foundations to succeed in this role.

The Essentials:

  • Qualifications/Identity: You must hold a Certificate III or Certificate IV (in Disability, Community Services, or a related field) OR identify as an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person.

  • A valid NSW Driver’s Licence.

  • Current First Aid & CPR certifications.

  • A Paid Working with Children Check (WWCC) and NDIS Worker Check.

  • Availability: Flexibility to work across a 24/7 rotating roster.

Diversity Matters: We strongly encourage applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and individuals with lived experience of disability.

Help us build a more inclusive community in Orange. Don’t let this opportunity pass you by. For more information, please contact the People and Culture team at peopleandculture@westhaven.org.au.

Closing Date: Wednesday 5th August

Please Note: To be considered for this Support Worker role under the SCHADS Award, applicants must hold valid, independent Australian working rights, as Westhaven does not offer visa sponsorship for this position.
