Dubbo Disability Services
Westhaven began its journey in the 1950’s Dubbo as a forward-thinking small school for children with intellectual disabilities. Through the school’s success, innovations in accommodation, employment and skills development were integrated allowing the children to flourish into adults. Sixty years later after humble beginnings in Dubbo, Westhaven is one of the largest not-for-profit Disability providers, encompassing many regions in Western NSW. Our mission is to provide an environment where people of all ages and range of disabilities can “Live life the way they choose”.
Disability Accommodation in Dubbo
We provide both supported independent living and short term accommodation services that are tailored to your individual needs and goals. Westhaven has an extensive portfolio of existing property in Dubbo and potential for future expansion.
Children & Young People Services
Our organisation began over sixty years ago to better serve the needs of disabled children and that ethos continues today. Westhaven offers a range of services designed to meet and exceed each child’s individual disability support needs. Our disability services for young people include accommodation, community access and ITC-SD.
Community Services
Westhaven is well positioned in Dubbo to provide in-home support, community participation, and recreational activities for those with disabilities. Our programs allow you to ‘live how you choose’, designed to maximise independence where possible and foster an environment where ongoing friendship networks can develop.
Employment
We’re well known in Dubbo for our Two Sheep ugg boots, which are shipped all over the world and manufactured by workers with disabilities. We have other successful opportunities in the supported employment space along with school leaver employment support and customised employment support.
