Find Meaningful Work in the Community with Customised Employment
Are you ready to find a job that aligns with your strengths, interests, skills, and needs? Our Customised Employment service is designed to support participants with disability to find and maintain employment in the community.
What is Customised Employment?
Customised Employment is a personalised approach to employment, where we work with both job seekers and employers to find, design, or create job opportunities that fit each individual’s skills, interests, and strengths. This approach is based on the principles of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and the National Disability Strategy (NDS), which aim to promote inclusive and accessible employment opportunities for people with disability.
How does Customised Employment work?
Our Customised Employment service consists of three key stages:
- Discovery: We get to know you and your employment goals, identifying your strengths, interests, and skills. This stage helps us understand what you’re looking for in a job and what support you need to succeed.
- Job Carving: We work with employers to find or create a job that fits your skills and interests. This may involve modifying an existing job or creating a new one that meets your needs.
- Post-placement Support: Once you’ve started your new job, we provide ongoing support to ensure you’re settling in and succeeding. This may include regular check-ins, training, and support with any challenges you may face.
