About the role
As an Accounts Officer you will work with the Financial Accountant to ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and ensure deadlines are met in a timely manner. This role could lead to a permanent position for the right candidate.

 

Key responsibilities

  • Accounts payable and receivable processing and reporting

  • General ledger journal processing

  • Intercompany and bank reconciliations

  • Cash handling and reconciliations

  • Processing debit / credit card acquittals

  • Balance sheet reconciliations

  • Managing general accounts enquiries


 To be on the forefront of this opportunity you will have

  • Experience using financial systems and completing reconciliations

  • Competent in the use and application of Excel and Google Sheets

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team where boundaries, responsibilities and requirements are constantly changing

  • Highly organised with the ability to work under pressure

  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate and relate to people at all levels

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

 

 Essential requirements of the role

  • Minimum 1 year of Accounting Experience, preferably in Accounts Payable

  • An Australian Qualification Framework recognised Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or related discipline 

  • A current NSW Driver’s licence 

  • Willingness to undergo National Criminal Record Check

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a paid Working with Children Check (WWCC)

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a National Disability Insurance Scheme Workers Check (NDISWC)
