James grew up in western New South Wales at Carinda.
In 2004 James suffered a spinal cord injury following a diving accident. This accident rendered James a c5/6 quadriplegic and is now reliant upon a motorised wheelchair for mobility.
James is one of six (6) partners at McIntosh McPhillamy & Co. in Bathurst which is one of the oldest and largest legal firms and regional New South Wales.
For the past 18 years James has worked extensively in the areas of both Criminal and Family Law in Bathurst and throughout the Central West.
