About the Opportunity

This is a key leadership role within Zapti, where you’ll drive the delivery of top-tier facilities management services for individuals with disabilities. You’ll be instrumental in achieving financial growth and sustainability, ensuring unwavering quality, safety, and customer satisfaction, and providing regular strategic updates to the Board.

Key Responsibilities

As our General Manager, you’ll lead Zapti’s operations, focusing on:

  • Take full accountability for the organisation’s Profit and Loss, meticulously managing budgets, and negotiating profitable and competitive pricing structures.

  • Oversee all day-to-day operations, ensuring efficient service delivery in security, maintenance, and facility management.

  • Develop and implement strategic initiatives that drive business growth, enhance operational efficiency, and identify new business opportunities.

  • Ensure all operations adhere to relevant standards, legislation, and industry best practices, effectively managing risk and maintaining comprehensive policies and procedures.

  • Cultivate strong relationships with internal and external customers, proactively addressing concerns and ensuring high levels of satisfaction.

  • Provide insightful weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports to executive directors and the Zapti Board, detailing operational performance and financial health.

  • Contribute to the planning and construction of Specialised Disability Accommodation (SDA) projects.

 

What You’ll Bring

We’re looking for a forward thinking leader with a proven track record, possessing:

  • Demonstrated experience in property development and facilities management, with significant exposure to the Disability Sector (NDIS and Department of Communities and Justice) highly regarded.

  • Proven ability to inspire, motivate, and build high-performing, cohesive teams dedicated to achieving organisational goals.

  • A strong aptitude for analysing market trends, developing long-term growth strategies, and interpreting financial data to make informed, profitable decisions.

  • Excellent communication skills coupled with a strong customer service orientation, ensuring positive interactions and successful conflict resolution.

  • Demonstrated skills in managing complex projects, particularly large-scale initiatives.

  • A tertiary qualification in business management, engineering, or facilities and property management accreditation, or significant equivalent industry-related experience.

Your Essential Compliance

  • Current valid NSW Driver’s licence.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a current paid Working with Children Check (WWCC).

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid National Disability Insurance Scheme Workers Check (NDISWC).
