We are seeking a skilled and passionate Human Resources professional to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of disability support services in regional NSW.

About the role
As a People and Culture Advisor, you’ll be the driving force behind human resource functions, collaborating closely with Westhaven’s management team. Your pivotal role will contribute to organisational change projects, ensuring a positive and inclusive workplace culture

 

Key responsibilities

  • Coach and guide management on people management matters

  • Develop workforce planning and retention strategies

  • Drive employee relations and engagement

  • Promote and Uphold Diversity and Inclusion Initiatives

  • Foster leadership development

  • Contribute to policy, procedure, and practice development and review

 To be on the forefront of this opportunity you will: 

  • Showcase advanced problem-solving, confidence, and emotional intelligence

  • Possess contemporary knowledge of HR policies and practices

  • Excel in relationship management and influencing skills

  • Demonstrate familiarity with employment legislation and ‘Employer of Choice’ practices

  • Be a team player with meticulous attention to detail and a systems-oriented approach.

 

Highly desirable attributes include:

  • Qualifications or significant transformational experience in human resources, training, mediation, diversity strategies or workplace investigations

  • AHRI membership

 Essential requirements of the role:

  • A current NSW Driver’s licence 

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a paid Working with Children Check (WWCC)

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a National Disability Insurance Scheme Workers Check (NDISWC)
