Join our growing People and Culture team as a People and Culture Officer. This opportunity would be an ideal early career opportunity for Human Resource enthusiasts.


About us:

Westhaven is and will continue to be the provider of choice for disability support services and accommodation across regional NSW.  Westhaven provides client-centric, high-quality programs and activities that provide whole-of-life support for people with disability, including offering houses that are homes, enabling choice and control and supporting clients to live life the way they choose.  


About the role:

The People and Culture Officer will work collaboratively with all members of the People and Culture Team to provide high level, efficient human resource services. The People and Culture Officer will be deployed to work on projects, tasks or activities that are considered the team’s focus at a particular given time. 


Key responsibilities:

Provide a variety of services using intermediate level technical knowledge across a range of activities including, but not limited to:

  • Employee engagement activities

  • Employee events

  • Communication activities

  • Other People and Culture projects.


To be at the forefront of this opportunity you will have:

  • Excellent administration skills, with the ability to generate reports, analyse data for insights and sound attention to detail

  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to plan, priorities and make decisions

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build productive relationships and collaborative capabilities to influence outcomes and generate solutions 

  • Experience as a recruitment coordinator or People and Culture transactional employee would be highly regarded

  • Qualifications in human resource management would be highly regarded


Essential requirements of the role:

  • A current NSW Driver’s licence 

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a paid Working with Children Check (WWCC)

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a National Disability Insurance Scheme Workers Check (NDISWC)
