Support Worker Children Services, Dubbo

What We’re Looking For

We value a mix of formal training and hands-on experience. To be considered for this role, you will ideally have:

  • A Certificate IV in Disability Services, Community Services, or Individual Support. Please note this training is advantageous, but not a requirement.

  • Relevant experience in a care or support role. We particularly encourage applications from people with lived experience, and those who identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander.


You will also have:

  • A current NSW Driver’s Licence and willingness to drive.

  • A valid First Aid & CPR Certificate.

  • A paid Working with Children Check (WWCC).

  • A National Disability Insurance Scheme Workers Check (NDISWC).

  • Willingness to consent to being listed on the Residential Care Workers Register (RCWR).

  • Availability to work across a 24/7 roster.


A Day in the Life of a Support Worker

As a Support Worker, you’ll provide essential care and support, helping children and young people with daily living skills, attending appointments and social activities, and completing daily case notes, incident reports, and administrative tasks.

  • Competitive base rate of $34.58 to $37.73 per hour + casual loadings and shift loadings as per SCHADS Award (Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010) and Super (12%)

  • First Aid certificate compliance allowance (pro-rata)
